MedlinePlus Tutorial

Welcome to the tutorial for MedlinePlus and Tox Town, consumer health information sites created by the National Library of Medicine to answer questions about health and the places we live. It takes about 25 minutes to go through the tutorial. When you complete the training, your library can register for the GHI icon that will bring users directly to this site.

Navigating through the tutorial is easy. Just click the “next,” “back,” or “start” buttons at the top and bottom of each page. You can also use the “search tutorial by topic” button to bring up an index linking to specific pages in the tutorial.

There are three other ways to navigate at the top of each page:
Good Health Information goes directly to the GHI site.
Good Health Information Tutorial takes you to the tutorial’s home page, where you are right now.
Explore MedlinePlus goes straight to the NLM site.

When you see images from MedlinePlus and Tox Town on the screen, you can actually click on the links to find information that you want. Just remember to come back and finish the tutorial by clicking the “Next” button when you’re done looking something up.
