From African drums to blues, jazz, r&amp;b, and hip-hop and rap, there is a music genre for everyone. While listening to music, read a book, like <strong>I See the Rhythm<\/strong>, illustrated by Michele Wood and written by Toyomi Igus. Take a colorful and literary journey through this book, viewing the artwork, reading the poems, and studying the historical timeline. A 1999 CSK Illustrator Award Winner, Michele Wood\u2019s beautiful illustrations synchronize with Igus\u2019 lyrical poetic beats to the different musical styles. The historical timeline provides just enough information to spark interest in music, poetry and art.
